The Azerbaijan Tourism Board organized a tourism promotional event in the Jordanian capital, Amman, aimed at highlighting Azerbaijan’s rich tourism potential and exploring opportunities to strengthen cooperation and partnerships with Jordan’s tourism sector.
The evening program featured a presentation on Azerbaijan’s leading tourist destinations and attractions, alongside business-to-business (B2B) meetings, networking sessions, media engagements, an official dinner, and a cultural program.
The event brought together representatives of Jordanian tour operators, travel agencies, local media outlets, embassy representatives, and Azerbaijani destination management companies (DMCs) specializing in tourism planning and operations.
During the event, Ambassador Shahin Shakir Abdullayev emphasized the strong relations between Jordan and Azerbaijan, stressing the importance of building on these ties and opening new avenues for cooperation, particularly in tourism, to enhance visitor exchange between the two countries.
The Azerbaijani delegation presented a variety of destinations and tourism experiences that cater to different traveler interests, ranging from cultural exploration, adventure tourism, and educational travel to family holidays. Visitors can also enjoy the country's historical landmarks, diverse natural landscapes, and distinctive Azerbaijani cuisine.
The presentation also highlighted elements of Azerbaijan’s cultural heritage and traditional crafts, especially its renowned handmade carpets and other heritage artifacts that reflect the depth of the nation’s cultural identity.
The event served as an important platform to promote Azerbaijan as a diverse tourist destination, strengthen its presence in the Jordanian market, and encourage tourism companies in both countries to develop joint travel programs, exchange expertise, and establish partnerships that contribute to increasing tourism flows between Jordan and Azerbaijan.
